Plaza
de Mayo, or
May Square, is the symbol of Argentina's historic manifestations.
Around the square is the famous Casa Rosada (the Government House),
plus the National Bank and the Metropolitan Cathedral. To the north
is the so-called "city porteña", BA's banking and business
center. Going west is Avenida de Mayo, a decadent avenue that leads
to the magnificent National Congress Palace. |

At any time, beautiful lakes and gardens are the perfect invitation
for a rest. Palermo Viejo, in turn, is home for the city's bohemian
and creative soul, in a very peculiar mixture between last century's
art and avant-garde trends. |

With narrow sidewalks, cobblestone streets and old mansions,
San Telmo still preserves several features of colonial
Buenos Aires. It's the place chosen by artists and intellectuals,
home of important antique shops and art galleries. |
